How similar programs work?
As of today, we have found one program by the name of Housing First, similar to our model, i.e., housing the homeless without pre-screening of financial capabilities. Similar to what we believe, their program evidences that 80% of beneficiaries improve their conditions after entering the program.
Yet, we also find differences between our envisioned program and the model described by Housing First.

Why This Comparison Matters
• Housing First’s model works—but it cannot be scaled to meet the full need. It provides excellent outcomes for a limited number of people.
• Our program is designed to scale. By tapping into existing subsidies and organizing shared living, a large population can be housed without waiting for more funding.
Conclusion
The Self-Sufficient Shared Housing model is not meant to replace Housing First—but to complement it. While Housing First sets the gold standard for unconditional housing, this model offers a practical, immediate solution that communities can adopt right now, using only the tools already available.
