A unique model

Our model is all about art of spending rather than asking. It ensures that government support is fully utilized for its intended purpose, rather than being partially reclaimed due to underuse.

For example, if someone entitled to $390 for housing cannot find a place to rent at that price, or rent a place below this amount, they lose the housing subsidy entirely or partially. In case of the former, they are left with only $343/month for food.

This is one major reason why many single individuals become homeless—they cannot afford rent on their own, and once they’re unhoused, they lose access to the full support they were entitled to.

This project is designed to change that. By pooling government support through shared housing and group meal services, we ensure that every dollar is used as intended: Rent is paid, food is provided, and no funds are unused. This is not about saving or fundraising—it is about making full use of the support that already exists but often goes unused.

In this model, spending is not optional; it is essential for protecting entitlements and keeping people housed.

Therefore, this project is designed to ensure that every dollar is used effectively, turning the subsidy into a revenue stream that supports stable housing rather than relying on external donations. It’s a cost-recovery model where the focus is on spending the funds exactly as intended, rather than saving them or asking for additional donations.
